The Bay area is full of talented children's book creators, with many choosing to self-publish or publish with independent, social justice-oriented publishers. Here is a list of Bay Area children's book authors and artists, with a focus on IPOC, LGBQTI+ and #ownvoices creators. Click on a link to go to each person's website and learn more about their books, and their availability for school visits and events. There's also a page which just includes participants in the Social Justice Children's Book Holiday Fair.
